A day is missing on my other iPhone
plottwist syncs through your iCloud, not through us. Which means the fix is almost always in iCloud.
plottwist syncs through your own private iCloud database, not through any server of ours. We hold no copy of your day, which is good for your privacy and does mean that when sync goes wrong, the fix is on Apple's side of the fence.
Check these, in order
- Both iPhones are signed into the same Apple Account.
- iCloud Drive is on for both. plottwist's data rides on the same mechanism.
- Both have a working connection. iCloud can take a minute or two, and it will not sync at all on a device that has been offline.
- Give it a moment. There is no
sync nowbutton and no sync status screen in plottwist, by design, so there is nothing to press.
The distinction that trips people up
Signing in with Apple inside plottwist is not the same thing as being signed into iCloud on the iPhone. The first carries your membership and Junie's full brain. The second carries your days. You can have one without the other.
Also worth knowing
- plottwist is an iPhone app. There is no iPad or Mac version, so an iPad will not show your days.
- Past days sync like any other day. Only the calendar part is restricted to today and forward.
If everything above checks out and a day is still missing, tell us and include your iOS version and how many devices are involved.
