Calendar appointments are not showing up
Five things to check, in the order worth checking them.
- Is the switch on?
Settings > Calendar > Keep my calendar in sync. - Did iOS get permission? Check iOS
Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars > plottwist. If you declined the prompt, the switch in plottwist turned itself back off, and only iOS can grant it now. - Are you looking at a past day? Only today and future days sync. Past days are deliberately left as your record of what actually happened.
- Is the calendar actually on this iPhone? plottwist reads the calendars your phone has. A work or shared calendar you only ever open in a browser will not appear until it is added to iOS.
- Nudge a sync. Syncing runs when you change days, when the app comes back to the front, and when iOS says the calendar changed. Switching to another day and back is the quickest way to force it.
If one specific appointment is missing
Check Settings > Organizing > Hidden events. Deleting a synced appointment inside plottwist hides it rather than deleting it, and it will not come back until you tap Show again.
If an appointment is there but looks wrong
Calendar events arrive costing 1 drop and protected. To change the category permanently, add a rule at Settings > Organizing > Calendar categories. See hidden events and calendar categories.
Still stuck? Send us a note and mention your iOS version and which calendar provider it is.
