plottwist (“we,” “us”) operates plottwist.day, a page where you can join the waitlist for our upcoming planning app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written for a United States audience; we currently offer the waitlist to US residents only.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you choose to join the waitlist, we collect your email address and your answers to a short set of optional questions (such as your role, age range, number of kids, and how you plan your day today).
Information collected automatically.When you visit, we collect standard technical data: the campaign parameters in the link you clicked (UTM tags), the page that referred you, your browser's user agent string, your IP address and the approximate location (city, region, country) derived from it, your progress through the signup form, and basic engagement measurements such as how long you stayed on the page and which sections you viewed. We use a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser to connect this into one record. We do not collect precise location data such as GPS coordinates.
Advertising and analytics
We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) to measure how well our ads work. It records a page view when you visit, and a conversion event only if you complete the waitlist signup. You can learn about and control Meta's ad practices in your Meta ad preferences, and opt out of interest-based advertising generally at aboutads.info/choices.
How we use your information
- To send you your waitlist confirmation and an invite when early access opens.
- To understand who is interested in plottwist so we build the right product.
- To measure which ads and messages resonate, so we spend responsibly.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Where your data lives
Waitlist data is stored on servers in the United States and is encrypted at rest. We use service providers to operate this site (hosting, content delivery, and email delivery) who process data only on our instructions.
Retention and deletion
We keep waitlist information until the early access program ends or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. To have your information deleted, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and we will remove it.
Your choices
- The survey questions are optional; only an email is needed to join.
- Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
- You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time.
Children
plottwist.day is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be announced by email to the waitlist.
