Setting up plottwist for the first time
The seven cards you see on first launch, what each one asks for, and what you can safely skip.
The first launch is seven cards and takes about a minute.
- Say hello. Junie introduces herself and asks what to call you. That name is stored on your iPhone and is never sent anywhere.
- Four short tours, one each for Today, The Cup, The Ledger, and The Shelf. Tap Continue through them.
- Sign in with Apple. This is how your membership and your 7 day free trial stay attached to you rather than to a device, and it is what lets Junie use her full brain. Your actual day stays on your iPhone either way.
- One last thing. Two optional switches:
Bring in your calendarandGentle reminders. Tap Enable on either one, approve the prompt iOS shows you, and the button turns into a green check. - Start my day. You land on a blank Today.
If you skipped the optional steps
Nothing is lost, and nothing nags you about it. Calendar lives at Settings > Calendar > Keep my calendar in sync. Reminders live at Settings > Notifications. Settings is the gear at the top left of Today.
Your first day is blank on purpose
An empty day shows a card that says Today's a blank page. with a See a demo day button. The demo fills the timeline with an example day so you can see how the whole thing looks before you commit your own life to it. A banner across the top says it is a demo, and Clear removes every trace of it in one tap.
From there, add something with the plus button at the top right, or open the Junie tab and just say what is on your mind.
